Eva Rothenberger

Eva Rothenberger is a Romance philologist and academic coordinator at the Institute for European Cultural History at the University of Augsburg. Her research focusses on the dictionary and scholarly literature of France in the 17th and 18th centuries as well as on the performativity and literariness of dance texts from Romania. Central to this are always aspects of inter- and transculturality, interface and transmission phenomena. Based on these interests, a working group on ‘Water Cultures’ developed in collaboration with colleagues from Augsburg, Amiens and Bayreuth, which works on issues relating to the use of the vital resource of water from an interdisciplinary perspective in the fields of literature, history and cultural studies.
